The Coach House offers six individually styled rooms with sumptuous beds, luxury bathrooms, and Temple Spa toiletries. Each room includes a TV, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, and bathrobes. Some rooms overlook the rear garden, while others are located in the converted stables block at the rear of the property, away from the main road. One room can accommodate an extra single bed for a child.
Dining & Breakfast
A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily, with choices like Full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and smashed avocado on sourdough. Breakfast hours are 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM on weekdays and 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends and Bank Holidays. Ingredients are locally sourced where possible.
Location & Transport
The Coach House is on Duffield Road, 1 mile north of Derby City Centre. It is a five-minute walk to Darley Abbey, with its riverside bars and restaurants. Nearby landmarks include Darley Park (1 km), Derby Cathedral (2 km), and Derby Train Station (2 miles away). East Midlands Airport is 16 miles away, with connecting buses to Derby.
Events & Weddings
The property hosts intimate weddings and private events for up to 26 guests indoors or 60 in the garden. Overnight accommodations are available for 16 guests across six rooms. Event options include christenings, business meetings, and birthday parties, with informal or formal dining and a fully stocked bar.

The outbuilding room was lovely and spacious, with a great garden seating area; however, it was a bit chilly upon arrival. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The location was convenient for our one-night stay for a wedding, but the parking setup was a bit tricky. The dining experience in the rustic breakfast room was delightful, offering fresh produce and a variety of cereals. Overall, a charming stay with a few minor hiccups.
